Tricia has been a pet stylist since 1997 and started working at Celebrity Pets Salon on January 7, 2008. She is the Lead Pet Stylist. She became a groomer accidentally when she applied to be a dog trainer at PetsMart. They did not need trainers at the time but needed bathers in the grooming department. Shortly after she was hired, an opportunity came about to be trained in grooming. She learned the basics but three years later she went to Pampered Paws and learned to groom show style from a friend who bred and showed Poodles. Her original career choice was to be an artist. She graduated from The Columbus College of Art & Design with a BFA. There was not much full time opportunity in freelance painting and sculpting so Tricia is very grateful for her pet styling career where she can use her artistic abilities on your pets.
She grew up in the greater Cleveland area and moved to Dayton, where her grooming career started. Tricia then groomed in Columbus for 18 months before moving to the Akron/Canton area when she married her husband, Mark, in 2007. They share their lives with ten, yes ten, dogs. One Sheltie, Gini, and eight Border Collies; Rio, Ruby, Phoebe, Schultz, Raven, Smitty, Dazzle, & Riot. They also have a new dog named Volcano. We have three rescued house rabbits, Calvin, Glitter, and Tinsel and two gerbils, Hoops & Yoyo. Trish has been competing in dog agility and obedience events since 1998. Mark joined her in training & competition and they trial just about every Sunday plus her vacation days.
Laura has worked in the industry for 23 years and has worked for Valley Animal Hospital as a client service representative for three years and Celebrity Pets since 2010. She is passionate about animals and has a menagerie of her own at home, including 6 cats, 3 dogs as well as a box turtle named Tilly.
Her hobbies, other than caring for her family of pets consist of hiking, biking and kick boxing.
