Dr. Rebecca Hart, DVM
Originally from Cleveland, Dr. Rebecca Hart has worked at Hart’s Animal Hospital since 1997 when she purchased the practice. She earned her BS and DVM degrees from The Ohio State University and has been in the industry since 1988. She has a special interest in surgery and oncology and has helped many cancer patients live long lives in remission. Dr. Hart has five cats and one dog who she loves very much. Her hobbies include shopping, home repairs, gardening, and taking long walks with her dog, Eilish.
Originally from Rhode Island, in 2001, Dr. Caires obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture at Purdue University, along with a minor in Biology and Animal Science. He attended Ross University where he completed his veterinary degree in 2005. He completed his clinical studies at the University of Georgia.
Married in 2008, Dr. Caires lives with his wife, Jaclyn, their daughters Eva, Kyla, Cora and along with their cat Pandora and dog Kelly.
Dr. Caires main interest is in surgery, dentistry, ultrasound and laproscopy surgery. He is one of our doctors that travels to all our locations to assist in surgery and in doing dentals and dental procedures. Dr. Caires also will do ultrasounds at our hospitals to aid in diagnostics. We hope that you get to meet him soon.
His other interests include the outdoors and working on his home.
A 1988 graduate of THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr.Vance was a classmate of Dr. Rebecca Hart. He has practiced canine and feline medicine and surgery as a general practitioner in both Florida and Ohio for over 3 decades. In addition, he has been a board certified Specialist in Canine and Feline practice as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners for over 20 years. Dr.Vance has special interests in dermatology, tick-borne disease, corrective soft tissue surgery, gastroenterology, preventative medicine, and wound care. He is proudly owned by a formerly feral cat (rescued from rural Lorain Co.) and is content to be the primate caretaker of his benign feline overlord. His favorite leisure pursuits are catch-and- release sustainable fishing, American history, and accumulation of trivia.
Dr. Katie Habrat, DVM
Dr. Katie Habrat completed her bachelor’s degree at The University of Findlay in 2009 and then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation she practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Hilliard, Ohio for five years before moving back near her hometown of Medina. Dr. Katie’s special interests include rabbit and pocket pet medicine, dentistry, and she is Fear Free Certified. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and working on their hobby farm. Their home would not be complete without their three loving Labradors: Abby, Maggie and Cliff.
