Meet Our Veterinarians
At Harts Animal Hospital, our doctors all share the same goal of making and keeping pets well. If you’re looking for compassionate, professional veterinarians in North Royalton, you can find them here!
Dr. Rebecca Hart, DVM
Originally from Cleveland, Dr. Rebecca Hart has worked at Hart’s Animal Hospital since 1997 when she purchased the practice. She earned her BS and DVM degrees from The Ohio State University and has been in the industry since 1988. She has a special interest in surgery and oncology and has helped many cancer patients live long lives in remission. Dr. Hart has five cats and one dog who she loves very much. Her hobbies include shopping, home repairs, gardening, and taking long walks with her dog, Eilish.
Dr. Robert Lang, DVM
Dr. Robert Lang grew up in Lorain, OH and fostered a love for animals at a very early age. After graduating from Lorain Admiral King High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees from The Ohio State University. Dr. Lang previously spent three years working at a small animal practice in central Ohio, before joining Hart’s Animal Hospital in December 2011. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, and dentistry.
Dr. Lang is a USDA-accredited veterinarian. He’s also a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). When not in the office, he enjoys golfing, fishing, the Cleveland sports scene, and spending time with his Doberman, Baron. Dr. Lang looks forward to meeting all the wonderful pets and “pet parents” in the greater North Royalton area.
Dr. John L. Owen, DVM
Dr. Owen, a native of the Akron, Ohio area, joined the US Army after high school. He proudly served in Desert Storm, winning the National Defense Service ribbon. Once honorably discharged, he graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine and started practicing with his father, Dr. Terry Owen. In 2007, he opened the doors to Howland Community Animal Hospital. This practice has a keen appreciation for orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, including knee and upper-airway surgery for canines and felines.
They are awesome! My dog Merlin knows who his groomer is and runs to the door every time. He doesn't even look back or kiss me goodbye.
My dogs look great! The best part is they had a great time.
Laura is always so friendly and gives Phoebe a beautiful hair do! The rest of the staff is also very friendly and professional!
Tucker loves going to Brunswick Animal Hospital! They make him feel special and give him lots of attention.
From seeing our dog Tango through skin & thyroid issues, and then ACL repairs on both his legs the Doctors and staff have been awesome.
Loved that Dr. Willard got all the way down on the floor with Lucy! I don't recall seeing that happen with any of my dogs' office visit. Thank you so much Dr. Willard, for your heart and time with Lucy.
Thank you to Dr. Hart and his staff for taking great care of our Dobie today. All of our questions were answered, Jax was well cared for, and the bill was very reasonable.

The vets and staff here are amazing. I appreciate every single one of you and the treatment you provide to my pets.
Countless times I have gone to them with healthy or sick pets that mean the world to me. And every time they have given them all the very best care I could ever have asked for. And then some.
It is very apparent that owners made their expectations to the staff perfectly clear, because EVERY employee we encountered during our visits are happy, outgoing, compassionate, and friendly.
